312th Bombardment Group
"The Roarin' 20s"
Veterans & Relatives Letter
I had the honor of meeting the group in 2000, at the Dayton, Ohio
reunion. It brings me great pleasure to tell you that the video
tape about the 312th I recorded at that reunion is now complete!
The video is an hour and a half long, and covers the recollections
of pilots & gunners about their recollections of the A-20,
and the chronology of your WWII service from formation of the
group, through V-J Day.
I wanted to thank all members of the 312th who allowed me to
interview them, and especially the following people and friends
of the group, who I have stayed in contact with for the past two
years. They are: John Happy, Ed Hambelton, Mickey Sherman, Russ
Stturzebecker and Rick Young. I had a wonderful time at the reunion
and regret that I can not be there in person this year. I often
think of your history and those of you that I had the honor of
meeting in person.
Many of you already know about my website PacificWrecks.com, that deals with WWII Pacific history, locations,
veterans and has a free monthly newsletter.
With all respect,
- Justin Taylan
