BABO AIRFIELD
A new DVD by Justin Taylan, featuring Bruce Fenstermaker. Babo
Airfield was remote airbase used by the Dutch, RAAF and the Imperial
Japanese Navy and Japanese Army Air Force during World War II. Wrecked
Japanese aircraft remained undisturbed there for decades. In the early
1990s Bruce
Fenstermaker recovered an A6M3 Zero, G4M1 Betty and D4Y1 Judy with
the permission of the Indonesian
Air Force Museum in Jakarta. This DVD documents the airfield,
its wartime history, and aircraft recovery projects.
